I have been recently appointed as professor at the [[http://www.uni-bielefeld.de/|University of Bielefeld]] where I lead the Semantic Computing group. I am affiliated to the [[http://www.techfak.uni-bielefeld.de/data/index.html|Technical Faculty]] and to the [[http://www.cit-ec.de/|Center of Excellence Cognitive Interaction Technology (CITEC)]].

Before joining the University of Bielefeld, I have been assistant professor at the [[http://home.tudelft.nl/en/|Delft University of Technology]], where I worked in the [[http://www.wis.ewi.tudelft.nl/|Web Information Systems Group]] lead by [[http://www.st.ewi.tudelft.nl/~houben/|Geert-Jan Houben]].

From 2003-2008 I was at the [[http://www.aifb.uni-karlsruhe.de/Forschungsgruppen/WBS|Department of Knowledge Management]] lead by [[http://www.aifb.uni-karlsruhe.de/Personen/viewPerson?id_db=57|Prof. Rudi Studer]] at the [[http://www.aifb.uni-karlsruhe.de/|Institute AIFB]] of the [[http://www.uni-karlsruhe.de/|Technical University of Karlsruhe]].

I perform research at the intersection of a number of areas:
